Seven years ago, Edan discovered that he had the potential to be a great runner when he kept improving and breaking boundaries in his running. It inspired him to pursue his running dream and to achieve his maximum potential. He found his purpose in life through running and hope to be the best he can possibly be and to inspire others to start working on their dream, too.

Edan aspires to be the first Malaysian to qualify for the full marathon event in the Tokyo Olympics in 2020. He wants to raise running to the next level by imparting knowledge and experience to the running community and to help promote good runners for the country.

The significant milestones in his running career are:
  • 2018 - Will be the First Malaysian Marathoner to complete all the 6 World Marathon Majors (Chicago, Boston, Tokyo, Berlin, London & New York Marathon) below 2:59 hours.

  • 2018 - Great Ocean Road Running Festival (GORRF), Melbourne Australia. 60KM Ultramarathon Debut and Champion For the Men Open Category. Fastest 60KM Ultramarathon Debut by Malaysian and First Asian To Win the GORRF.

  • 2018 - Completed the London Marathon and raised fund of £1750 for the Mencap Charity Organization.

  • 2017 - Barossa International Marathon (AIMS certified event), Australia. Champion. Broke course record for a full marathon in 2 hours 36 minutes

  • July 2017 - Gold Coast Airport Marathon, Personal best time of 2:30 (2nd Fastest Marathon Time By Malaysian In 2017)

  • 2017 - Qualified for the Boston Marathon yearly for the past 5 years and ran Boston Marathon in the 121st edition

  • 2016 - Fastest Malaysian Marathoner and 12th Fastest In South East Asia. First Malaysian to Qualify for SEA Games 2017 (Marathon Event)

  • 2015 - Qualified for the Boston Marathon yearly for the past 4 years and ran Boston Marathon in the 191th Edition to be the Fastest and Youngest Malaysian to complete the Boston Marathon in 2015
